Violence Leaves 19 Dead, Over 100 Injured

According to Hiru News, citing officials, at least 19 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured in the clashes and the violence that followed inside Negombo Prison. Security was tightened across the prison, with the Police Special Task Force and riot control units deployed to bring the situation under control.
