According to media reports, Pooja Goyal, mother of the accused fiancée Siya Goyal, has claimed that her daughter never wanted to go on the trek, but the deceased’s mother persuaded her to go. “The night before the incident, Siya and Ketan had a video call about going to Lohagad Fort, and when Ketan’s mother came on the call, Siya said she didn’t want to go on the trek… but his mother asked her to go,” she said.

Pooja Goyal further alleged that the conversation between the two shows that she was initially reluctant to go. Meanwhile, she called for the strictest punishment for the accused, who may also be her daughter. “If anyone is at fault in this, they should be given the harshest punishment.
